Welcome to the What If Everyone Fall 2018 Serve Day at Mosaic – this is one of our favorite days of the year. Saturday, October 6th is about being a voice of hope to the people in our community who need it most, and working as a team with a clear strategy to make the biggest impact! Join us for a citywide Serve Day as we collect donations, volunteer at area non-profits, and actively show love to our Charlotte community. Saturday, October 6th at 9am we will gather at the Hope Center to grab some coffee and donuts, a t-shirt, and rally together before heading to the various volunteer opportunities throughout the city.
Help us show some love to our city through various Acts of Kindness, such as free dog wash, hanging out bottles of water, giving out quarters at local laundromats and more. We will have 3 locations: Plaza Midwood, NoDa, and Northlake/University area.

Bags of Hope – Currently Full
We will be collecting food items for our ongoing Bags of Hope program. Volunteers will sort through the food donations and pack bags.

Give the gift of life! Sign up to donate blood at the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas Blood Mobile during one of our morning services on Sunday, October 7th. Please sign up prior to Sunday morning, link on website. Visit cbcc.us for more information.
Details – Oct. 7th 9am-1pm at the Hope Center. *Must be 18+ years old or 16+ with parental consent.
CM partners with the Huntington Green community in Huntersville to provide educational, spiritual and mentoring programs to more than 450 children and adults. We will host a family fun day for the community, including arts, crafts, food and a winter clothing drive.

CFH is a shelter-to-housing program for families experiencing homelessness. Sign up to provide meals for families at Hawthorne Place or Elizabeth House on Sunday (10/7), Tuesday (10/9) or Thursday (10/11). Meals should be dropped off at the shelter sites between 5:30 and 6:30pm. Providing meals allows clients to focus dollars spent on food to savings for housing. Volunteers are asked to purchase and prepare meals that align with a suggested menu and prepare food prior to arrival.

This is a great family friendly volunteer opportunity! We will collect (bake or buy) items to put together in baskets to then take to local fire stations to show our thanks for all their hard work!
Details – 10am-1pm, starting at the Hope Center, then visiting Fire Stations around Charlotte.
Volunteers will do interior painting for a new Habitat House (3138 Hiram Street, Charlotte, NC 28208) on Saturday afternoon.
Details – 12:30-4pm. Age Requirement: All Habitat Charlotte volunteers must be 16 years or older to participate.
We will sort and organize donated socks, pairing any unpaired socks with others. For more information on The ODD Sock visit the-odd-sock.org.

Winding Springs Elementary School is a Title 1 school that Mosaic has partnered with to serve the staff and teachers. We will help spruce up their garden area.

- Kid-friendly soup, chili, pasta (pop top)
- Single serve size cereal, oatmeal, grits
- Applesauce or fruit cups
- Tuna or chicken (pouch or pop top)
- Shelf stable milk or 100% juice
- Single serve size snacks, crackers, pretzels, bars, etc.
For The ODD Sock:
- Single, unpaired socks in good condition
- New socks
For Caterpillar Ministries:
- Winter outer wear – coats, gloves, scarves, hats
